Start of the summer Garden
May. 4th, 2009 05:27 pmThis weekend we planted starter seeds in this cute little seed starter kit we found at Lowe's most were herbs for pots on the deck. Last year I had a really hard time finding some herbs and couldn't even find rosemary so I bought the seeds for Rosemary and thought I might as well just get seeds for all the other herbs I wanted to grow so I got Basil, Oregano, Thyme, Cilantro, Rosemary and two types of Chives regular and Garlic. I am very excited about the Rosemary as I want to cook with it. I wanted to get dill as well but the other half doesn't like dill and made a face when I touched the package at Lowe's LOL. Fingers crossed that it takes and that it works out well. Next week we are going to get a delivery of Loam so we can cover some of the crappy sand like dirt we have in part of the yard. We plan on have a raised bed and growing a few vegetables that we will use. There is so much to do outside the deck needs to be painted badly and so doesn't the front steps. I am going to have to make a to do list and stick to it so the yard looks good for the summer.
